First off, I added a Dart page over to the left under the Photographs section. I'll be adding additional pictures (and probably pages) as I did for Harley, as soon as I can pull some of them off the card in my phone and dig through all the ones already on my computer or on Facebook. He's still an awesome dog.

Next... we found our house!

Our house-to-be!

It's a 2 story home with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths (no idea what the hell we're going to do with that many bathrooms) and it's almost twice as big as our house in Simi Valley. The lot is a solid 3,000 square feet larger, too. Even better, it's 26 years younger than our last house (NO ALUMINUM WIRING! YAY!). The best part, though... it's 30% less expensive than our old house. Gotta love the cost of living adjustment! Cost of living between Simi Valley and Austin in new window

Should everything go as planned, the appraisal will happen this Friday, our final walkthrough a week from this coming Monday, the document signing on Wednesday of that week and the keys in our hands by late Friday, early Saturday. Anyone want to help me move?

Below is Harley Quinn, our Green-Cheeked Conure.
We got him in June 2005.

Below is D'Artagnan (Dart for short), our Chihuahua mix. He was Mrs. splorp!'s Valentine's Day gift in 2010. He was about 8 months old when we got him and weighed in at a massive 7 pounds of tail-wagging fury.

Drusilla, the Vampire Parakeet To the left, you’ll see Drusilla,
the Vampire Parakeet, named after
a character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
because she bit like a vampire.
She passed away on 12/20/04.
