Storytime. But first, the prologue...

Once upon a time (about 4 or 5 months ago), there was a beautiful assistant princess. The assistant princess was good at her job and even performed duties that were above and beyond the scope of her occupation. When time came for a review of her work, the evil boss advised that no one would be given a cost of living raise this year. She protested that she wasn't asking for a cost of living raise, but rather a raise due to the fact that she was performing duties that were not defined in her job description. The evil boss said no, and demanded that if she was to leave that she should be polite and give notice.

::fast forward::

Nearer to today (last Friday, in fact), the assistant princess was summoned before the evil boss. Without providing the notice that he advised would be polite, he summarily terminated her employment as assistant princess. I hereby declare that he's a tool and needs to be bitch-slapped.

Note: this is my personal opinion (and, once explained to my co-workers, many of theirs, too).

My neck is better (FINALLY). More than two weeks of pain, drugs and the TENS unit and I'm back to normal.

Well, as normal as I get, anyway.

A few days ago my wife and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. Dinner was great. :) Unfortunately, I had to be up at 4:50AM the next day in order to attend a 6AM meeting at work, so it was an early night. I ended up working 6AM to 5:30PM. I'm still kinda tired.

OK, a few updates to the menu, besides the standard archive changes... Casey & Andy is officially done. I'm moving it to the archived comics section. I'm also moving Elf Only Inn, Dungeon Crawl Inc and Yirmuhmah there, too, since they don't seem to be updating (again).

I'm also adding links to my family who have web pages. This includes my ma, sisters (and sister in law) and a number of cousins in Connecticut.

Below is D'Artagnan (Dart for short), our Chihuahua mix. He was Mrs. splorp!'s Valentine's Day gift in 2010. He was about 8 months old when we got him and weighed in at a massive 7 pounds of tail-wagging fury.

because she bit like a vampire.
She passed away on 12/20/04.
